Kate Piersanti is Berrett-Koehler's Copyright Editor. She handles copyright questions and contracts with individuals, businesses, and colleges that want to use material from BK books.
She received her BA in English and history from California State University Fullerton and her MA in gerontology from San Francisco State University. Kate has worked on several geriatric research projects at the University of California, San Francisco.
Kate is a true renaissance gal and in her time away from BK works in many different areas: interior design, landscape design, bookkeeping, and assisting the elderly. She is a member of many animal organizations and environmental groups. Her special interests are wildlife rehabilitation, inter-species communication, reading, screenwriting, eastern and western medicine, and painting watercolours. Her favorite interest is studying wolves. She has even had the opportunity to do research with wolves.
