The Project Manager, Online Training, is responsible for managing project flows and deliverables of concurrent multiple online training programs (video-based summits and courses), resulting in smooth delivery of quality products and services. This person will help Berrett-Koehler Publishers achieve its strategic priority to “Transition to a Media Enterprise” by developing new and significant sources of revenues from high-priced online training programs. The Project Manager, Online Training, will BK practice quality, stewardship, partnership, sustainability, and inclusion in all aspects of our business.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop a detailed project plan for each training program to track progress and measure project performance using appropriate systems and tools.
• Provide overall project structure and schedule for each online offering to manage simultaneous projects at different phases.
• Develop a detailed project plan for each training program to track progress and measure project performance using appropriate systems and tools.
• Manage database (Google Docs spreadsheet, Asana, etc.) with schedule, deliverables, and organized files of all speaker, affiliate, and corporate sponsorship assets.
• In collaboration with program manager for each online training event, ensure that all components of the project are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
• Manage Speaker Registration Form: collect information about mailing list size, social media reach, dedicated email send dates; identify and collaborate with speakers and handlers as needed, collect bios and head-shot photos, speaker talk titles and related research to prepare for the interview, schedule video shoots, coordinate bonus gift (video, PDF, audio files) submission, and answer questions.
• Speaker and affiliate contracts: Legal agreement online agreements for use of material and confirmation that to participate they must send to their email list.
• Product set-up: Track and manage deliverables for video post-production, website creation, affiliate program set-up, e-commerce set-up, registrants membership set-up, support desk set-up
• Manage speaker marketing: send out regular reminders to speakers confirming their dedicated email announcements, newsletter mentions, and social media posts to their respective communities.
• Post online event: Verify marketing deliverables with speakers and affiliates, calculate revenue-share payments, transition to event program manager and accounting desk
• Report and escalate issues to training event program manager as needed
• Miscellaneous speaker management
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

QUALIFICATIONS:

• BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
• Proven working experience as a project manager in similar capacities (juggler and plate spinner par excellance)
• Familiar with a range of software and tools including Docusign, Google Drive, MS office suite, Asana, Schedule One etc.
• Superb relationship manager
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of outreach to multiple stakeholders including world-class writers and thought leaders as well as internal communications regarding project status and updates
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Friendly, assertive, and professional

• Live conference recruiting, organizing, and hosting
• Video and audio production
• Online training product creation and sales
• Product management of new product from design to market launch
• Book publishing experience
• Online Launch Formula (Jeff Walker) knowledge and experience

COMPENSATION:

• Salary: $65,000 per year, plus bonus tied to company profits
